Completely Terrible

Awful Day Ever

It all started with a case of terrible hair. I couldn't figure it to look decent. As I was running out the door, I fell and dropped my lunch all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely late for a very important appointment.

I arrived. My {boss|mentor|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was pointless.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
